Our hardwood logs are a mix of excellent firewoods such as beech, Ash and sycamore. Air-dried for many months in our specially designed drying crates, we only consider each load ready for delivery when it has been tested to ensure it is fully seasoned and guaranteed “Ready to Burn.” All our timber is legally felled from sustainably managed woodlands.

Our seasoned hardwood logs are available in different sizes: 8″/20cm, 10″/25cm, 12″/30cm, 15″/38cm

We deliver FREE within 20 miles of our Uley woodyard – that includes Cirencester, Stroud,  Gloucester, Malmesbury.  We can also deliver up to 30 miles away for an additional charge.

Description

Our guaranteed seasoned hardwood logs all come from local sustainably managed woodlands.

Once cut into logs, the wood is air-dried for several months. Only when we have tested each load by measuring the moisture content, do we class the logs as fully seasoned and “Ready to Burn“.

They are a mix of hardwoods, mainly Beech, Ash, and Sycamore.

Hardwood is denser than softwood and hardwood logs burn more slowly and generate more heat. Great for settling back and enjoying the fire. x

    Have used this firewood for a couple of years and it’s excellent. Previous suppliers were cheaper per load but we needed twice as much so needed 2 loads whereas Elcombe we only needed one load to last all winter. Beautiful wood, burns well, never soggy and burns at about 400°C. Speedy service..delivered next day. We use our fuel allowance for it!
