Choosing Firewood

Everyone’s fire is different.

It can take a while to get to know your fire and how it will work for you. So we’ve made a Keep it Simple option for when you don’t have time to think about it too much and just need to get your logs in. These are clean, easy to use and reliable kiln-dried hardwood logs which will fit in the vast majority of woodburners and fireplaces.

For the more experienced fire owner, there are lots of factors to consider when choosing logs which we explore here. We offer a range of seasoned hardwood in different length options to suit the size of your woodburner or fire grate.

Briquettes?

Our wood briquettes are made from 100% compressed sawdust. Absolutely no glues or additives used. They have a very low moisture content and are very dense. Consequently they catch fire very easily and throw out lots of heat. They are also good value for money compared to other fuels (a combination of kin-dried logs and briquettes is our favourite fuel at home!).
